Melina Freeman
LCSW
I am experienced in working with survivors of physical and sexual abuse trauma, family systems and relationships, and behavioral change with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I currently work with teens, young adults and adults that are facing life stressors and experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression. I am well experienced with those diagnosed as being on the Spectrum and ADHD. My practice is helpful for those looking to create change in their life or to really start talking about and processing the past. My clientele come with areas of need focused on being heard, believed and put first in their self-care goals.
I specialize in the mind-body connection as a groundwork for my practice. I am experienced in being trauma-informed, always providing choices for the client. I come from working with children and families in aiding behavioral changes, repairing relationships, and creating safety. I often will utilize CBT, mindfulness and DBT interventions.
You are in control here; you are the driver of your care. I am here to support you through your journey of personal growth. You are in control of the practices I can implement and the topics we talk about. I believe therapy can be anywhere from a place to vent and be heard, to a place to learn and grow within yourself. The power of choice is my focus.
