I earned both my BSW and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College. In 1983 I graduated from Boston College with my MSW. I have six adult children and three grandsons. In terms of my professional career, I worked for the Department of Social Services for 18 years. I was employed for four years at Pernet Family Health Services as the Director of Family Support Services. I was employed for 17 years as a Guidance Counselor at Tantasqua Junior High. After retiring from my position as a guidance counselor, I began working as a social worker in the Early Intervention program at Pernet Family Health Services. I also taught a couple of courses at Quinsigamond community college. During my employment at Pernet I co-lead parenting classes and father’s groups at the agency as well as at the Worcester County House of Corrections . I was also employed per diem for You Inc, as well as co-leading sex offender groups at MSPCC. During my time working for MSPCC I also worked for the CES Hotline.
As a clinician, I have worked with adolescents through adulthood. I have had extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, and with parents who have been involved with DCF. Many of the individuals I have treated have experienced anxiety and depression.
